How To Install Concrete Pavers-“Professional Results”
How To Install Concrete Pavers and get professional results. Concrete pavers are not difficult to install. If you are wanting to learn how to lay a concrete paver patio then you are watching the right video. Concrete pavers are a great DIY, but you have to be patient and understand the steps. I have a five step method for installing a concrete paver patio. Preparing the area, putting in the paver base, putting in the paver sand, cutting, and laying the pavers and finishing the patio are the five steps.
Step 1) Prepare the Area
Step 2) Paver Base
Step 3) Paver Sand
Step 4) Cut-Lay Pavers
Step 5) Finish the patio
I used 12 bags of paver base because some of my project was already finished a few years ago,. I bought 20 bags of sand to complete this project as well as 62 concrete pavers.
12 X $5.47 = $65.64
20 X $4.47= $89.40
62 X $4.57= $283.34
Total= $438.38

    I would personally use 1" felt on the inside of the cover. I use to soundproof 1400 amp Motion Picture generators that would operate at a sound level of 50 decibels at 50 feet. People can get more extreme as we also used soundproof spray on the inside of the housings to further quiet the generators.

    Hi Fred ! Thanks for your video. Do you know about the consumption in watts/h of your electric boat engine ? I have the same intex boat with a Rhino vx 54lbs . In the specs, its written 360watts/hr at the 5th gear which is the max. Also, how was the difference with the wooden support you have put ? Did you notice any change ? Thanks again for the cool video :) greetings from France.

      Thanks for watching the video. Next week we are headed back to Utah to make another video with the Seahawk 4. I will be taking my amp clamp to take a reading off of the electric motor while I am using it. This should provide some interesting “real life“ data. As for the transom board that I made, there is a very big difference in performance gained. Without the board, the motor pushes downward because there is very little resistance against the rubber boat.

    Great video! I can't wait to get myself one of these trailers, although I've heard there's supply issues right now. I have also read in forums that some people have trouble with frame twisting over time when mounting trailer jacks on the side of the tongue, some people even said they had up to 6" dips over several years. I've seen people make brackets to mount it centered in the A frame behind the tongue and that's probly the route that I will go.

    I am a steel mill electrician, and we deal with an incredible amount of water, oil & grease in the tandem cold mill rolling areas. There are very effective tricks to keep moisture & corrosion out of electrical connections. Wire nuts are fine, with a little extra attention. You need to make sure the exposed wire ends won't corrode & make a bad connection. In a wet area, like underneath a vehicle, coat the wire ends with conductive anti-seize like Penetrox, then twist together and screw a wire nut on them. Tug on each wire to make sure they don't pull out of the nut. Then wrap the nut and a few inches of the insulated wire with electrical tape in the SAME direction you tightened the nut on, to keep it from ever falling off. The few extra inches of wrapped wire acts as a last ditch support if a bracket rots away, leaving the electrical device hanging by the wires. I should point out that both electrical tape and fancy shrink tubing will NEVER keep water out. As added moisture control, you can try to point the wire nuts upward & secure them that way with cable ties, etc., so water can't collect inside of them.

    Bought the spacers and ST175/80R 13 tires and rims. Les Schwab Tires would not mount with the spacers, so I had to do it. NO GOOD. The tires run big time against the fender braces. I could barely move it over to my carport. Very disappointing. What else did you do besides installing the spacers?

    • @MrFredsDIY
      @MrFredsDIY 11 днів тому

      My Carlisle tires rubbed the fender bracket a bit. I adjusted the angle of bend on the bracket. I also drilled new holes for the two bolts on the fenders. I put the holes near the existing holes so that a big washer would cover the old hole. This moved the fender out and the bracket in. If you remove the black fender and adjust the bend of the bracket until it no longer rubs, you can set the fender on the bracket to see where it needs to be mounted without rubbing. This will also show you where the new holes need to be.

    • @robertbailie9382
      @robertbailie9382 11 днів тому

      @@MrFredsDIYOK. A lot more work than you implied in your video. How are the brackets bent? Do I need to buy special tools for this? If I knew drilling was necessary, I probably would not have spent the time and money on this task.

    • @MrFredsDIY
      @MrFredsDIY 11 днів тому

      @robertbailie9382 No special tools. With the bracket mounted to the trailer frame and the tire off, I used a block of wood and a hammer and tapped the bracket to slightly bend it. I put the tire back on and gave it a spin to check the clearance. The bracket metal was pretty thin.

    • @robertbailie9382

      Mr. Fred. I was able to bend the fender bracket to its maximum vertical shape by sliding a 2X4 under each fender and tapping against the bracket. This resulted in just enough clearance to slide a sheet of typing paper between the brackets and tires. A short test run showed no rubbing. I loaded my riding mower and headed 50 miles to the John Deere shop for maintenance. I made it there, but on the way back the right bracket sheered off from metal fatigue and my fender flew off on the busy highway. Also both new radial tires were shredded, but not deflated, probably from rubbing caused by vibration. I was not able to retrieve the fender. I know this mod worked for you, but I think it is ill advised.

      First,thank you for commenting! Proper engine break-in is rarely addressed by companies that sell small engines such as these. Even car manufactures tend to gloss over proper break-in. Honestly, even with a brand new car I would do something similar to the process in the video. Sadly, with small engines like these I have found that the quality controls in the factories where they are made is a bit lacking but doing a thorough proper break-in hedges your bets to have a longer engine life.

    i do think the single wheel helped the REESE but also the lack of play, maybe the others could be tightened, but from the factory it shouldnt need to be. Also REESE is more of a name brand as you will see them at multiple brick and mortar stores, not just online. , the weight capacity might just be a question of the wheel contact area so only having one wheel would reduce its load capacity, wonder if it could easily be modded to take dual wheels or a bigger/better wheel

    • @MrFredsDIY
      @MrFredsDIY 13 днів тому

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. There are so many of these things for sale on Amazon. Most of them appear to be clones of each other. I selected these three because they were different price ranges and they all looked a little different. As for the Reese, I don’t necessarily mind the lower weight capacity. This little utility trailer will probably never have 1000 pounds of weight on it.
